Oops I ordered a doll lol.

 I have placed an order for a tan Dark Elf Soo through DenverDoll! I was going back and forth between the blue resin, but I really wanted a company faceup so tan it was. If they release her again in green I might have to get her in that for a garden fairy. I initially had the idea for a mischievous little girl with big curly cotton candy pink hair, but I'm not so sure. I think I'll see what kind of eyes she arrives with and go from there. I didn't even order a wig with her, I'll let her tell me what kind of elf she is.

The blue resin tempted me for a water fairy/sprite, and the grey resin would have been cool for a dark elf, but I was unsure about painting fantasy resin and I REALLY love the default faceup for DES. I have still not painted my poor lookback Shiwoo, so clearly I needed to get a doll with a faceup lol. 

I do still want to keep saving up for another doll since Fairyland sounds like they will continue to re-release discontinued sculpts and try fantasy resin again later or at their next event. I am still undecided on reshelling Felicity into a different doll. I love Sircca and Maya for her, but the faceups from Fairyland aren't quite right, but I love how artists have done their own faceups for them but I'm not super confident in my faceups quite yet. I also love the Sylvia sculpt *and* the default faceup, but I think she looks too young and I would want a more "grown up" looking sculpt to reflect Felicity growing up over the past 12 years.

I was also contemplating reshelling her into an SD sized doll like a Feeple60 but I really do not like the Moe body at all. Since I purchased a mnf DES I will probably stick with MSD sized dolls for now.

I need to get to work on sewing some projects but work has taken up a lot of my time which is okay for now. 

New eyes have arrived!!

 I purchased new eyes from DDE and they came in. They are so much more beautiful than I thought they would be! I will have to take photos with natural daylight to show how gorgeous they are. I got blue ones for Felicity and green ones for my lookback Shiwoo.

New faceups

 Tried doing a new quick faceup on Falicity to see if I can rebond with her. I would have liked these to be more detailed, but I just so happened to have a few decently nice days to work with MSC. I have also ordered some new eyes and eyelashes from DDE, and I'm very excited to see them!

Thoughts on change

 I have been thinking of reshelling Felicity into another doll so she can have an updated body that will match with different hands. I also like the idea of finding a different sculpt that reflects that she's grown up over the past 12(?) years. I love the Sircca and Sylvia sculpt, but I feel incredibly guilty like I would be throwing her away. I'm going to paint a fresh faceup and see how I feel about it.

My new doll arrived!

 He is beautiful and my terrible indoor photos do not show how gorgeous his skin is. I recreated his box opening; he originally had bubble wrap around is head. I also bought my girl another pair of hands, but was so disappointed that they didn't fit AND that she has yellowed so severely that the match is way off (although I don't think my camera picked up on how different the colors are). 

The hands on the far left are the ones he came with. The ones on the right I ordered separately. I don't think I could find which hands he would come with before I ordered him.

On the left is the tan skin, and on the right is the normal Fairyland skin from the hands I ordered at the same time.

Some seam lines, but nothing terrible. He also has a bit on his shoulders that are not very noticeable.

The wig from Leekeworld 7-8 was WAY too big which is sad because it's beautiful otherwise.

On the left is normal Fairyland resin from my order, and on the right is Felicty's hand. In real life it is MUCH more yellow and darker which is so sad, and also doesn't fit onto her body.

I was interested to see that his feet are more detailed. I also didn't realize that the new bodies have magnetic feet which is awesome!! Felicity has magnetic hands, but her feet are strung on.

I found a wig that I didn't use for Felicity that fits. For reference he is lovely with brown hair, but I foresee him with black hair and green/hazel eyes. I'm so excited to develop his character!

Whoops I bought a doll

 So last week I put in an order at DDE for a tan mnf Shiwoo and I'm so excited!! I also purchased him a lovely wavy Leekeworld wig. The character in my head has a chance to be brought to life. Today I'm also going to purchase new faceup supplies (since mine are probably 10 years old) and want to do new faces on all of my other dolls and I'm so excited!

Getting another doll (probably!)

One of the first things I did after getting back into the hobby was looking for a Minifee Shiwoo to embody a character I've had in my head for years. I did a bit of research on DoA and found out they were discontinued (along with MANY other sculpts that I liked). I was super bummed but figured I would check out the marketplace every once in a while. Well, somebody replied and let me know that the Shiwoo sculpt is back for the "lookback" series from Fairyland!! I am so excited!! I need to hurry up and figure out exactly what I'm going to get while he's still available, but I would LOVE to have him in tan.
