NotDoll Restringing . . . what is this, I don't even . . .

To make a long story short, beautiful doll has arrived but without the head attached. She was strung way too tight for me to even put her head on so I untied the big scary knot, and I don't even know what's going on with how they rationalized this crazy way to string a doll so she is sitting in pieces in the box. :( I'll post box opening pictures after she's all together.

NotDoll Tracking - In Transit to Destination!

So I should get them sometime today, but I hope I get her before work or I will have to wait until tomorrow since I get off work after the office closes. Gahhhhh. :)

NotDoll Tracking

The ladies are in Chicago right now! I'm sure I will have them by the end of the week, heck yes. :D

Tracking Number

The tracking number was of course sent to my spam inbox, but anyway my ladies have been dispatched from the Seoul International Post Office. Woohoo! And the time difference is kind of funny, the last update is from 3/28 at 11:55 p.m., but where I live it's 3/28 1:30 p.m.. Maybe she will show up sooner than expected? Who knows. XD

NotDoll - "On Shiping!"

How this happened on a Saturday I don't know, but I'm not asking questions. They haven't emailed me my tracking number or anything but I'm sure they will. Hopefully I can be patient and record a box opening video. :D

NotDoll Update

So it's been 23 working business days, so about a month since I ordered my ladies. I sent a quick email to NotDoll, and they apologized for the delay and said they would ship in 3~7 days.

Ok, so I just checked their site, and my status changed from "before shipping" back to "money transfer received". Wtf NotDoll? :( I told them in the e-mail my status had been before shipping for 2 weeks so I was just kinda wondering what was up, but I guess they changed it back. Gahhhhh this kinda sucks. D:

Also, I've been bad and thinking about selling off not just the 2 heads, but the other head and body and getting a Dollstown girl. There is just something about the NotDoll wrists that I do not like, and I didn't notice it until a couple weeks ago. Decisions are kinda hard I suppose.

Felicity Wearing a Leeke Wig

Okay, my plan was to keep my lovely expensive wig all in its net, cardboard thing, plastic bag and bubble wrap, buuuut that didn't last very long. XD I just had to take it out of the package which means Felicity got to play guinea pig with a wig that is meant for a bigger size.

The pretty tag (I also never knew why Leeke's stuff says DollGa on it?)

The length is crazy here. Felicity is a MiniFee, so the wig is about 40 cm here.

If you click to enlarge, there are several little wispies coming out of the braided part at the top left. Again, I don't blame Leeke. The box was pretty messed up when it arrived.

"I'm gonna get you!" This also shows the part that was pulled in the front. I can see what part of the braid it came from so if I do some careful pulling I should be able to fix it.

Felicity Wearing Leeke Horns

~Quick NotDoll Update~ Business Day 19, still at "before shipping". Apparently it will say that for a while so I will try to be patient. XD

Aaaanyway, so I tried the horns out on Felicity.

I didn't have anything super duty, so I just used regular Scotch tape.
"Must I really be bald in photos?"

They horns pretty much fly to the magnets, and hold really good. The magnets don't make any weird bumps in the wig, either.
"Aaah, this is better."

Tried the horns the other way. Still super cute.

With the regular skin tone of Fairyland resin, I would definitely have to blush them if Felicity were to keep them, but the NotDoll crystal rose white might be a pretty good match. Also, considering that these horns were only $11.00, I totally should have bought a second pair. XD

Leeke Horns ~ Construction

The size even looks good on Felicity, my minifee, so I decided to glue in the magnets before we head off to the movies. The first think I learned is that those little magnets are -strong-. I guess of course they have to be since some of the other horns are pretty big and you don't want them falling off especially if you have a thick wig. Okay, so on to the glue part. This is where I have trouble. XD The first one goes in fine, but I really wanted to make sure I had enough glue so on the second one I put too much, and when I pushed the magnet it some super glue squished out. And on to my thumb. Where it still is. It's not that big of a deal, except now I will have to wait quite some time for the glue to dry. I don't want to get bits of tacky half-dried glue on her wig. *tiny shaking fists in corner* Anyway, I'm sure there are instructions on the Leeke site that says to wait 24 hours for the glue to dry before using them, and I will definitely be following this rule.

Okay, as I'm writing this I'm glad I used a bunch of glue in one horn. I got it too close to its matching magnet and it held strong even after a few minutes. The other one flew right out. Soooo I added more glue to the other one and placed it in again. I will just scrape the excess dried glue off later. Also ~Craft tip of the Daaaaaay!~ When working with strong magnets, do not use tweezers made of metal. Gah I'm clueless sometimes. XD Wow. Okay I'll have pictures up by tomorrow.

Herp Derp v2.0 and Leeke stuff!

First of all, I'm feeling pretty dumb. XD I couldn't figure out the tracking stuff through the Leeke website so I googled "EMS" and used the first link that popped up, which kept telling me it wasn't the right number of my item was recently shipped so it wasn't showing up. No, just using the wrong website. Boyfriend to the rescue again. XD Through the USPS website it showed my dollie items the whole way through. I felt pretty dumb but very relieved. I was starting to stress a bit. But anyway! Picture time! I guess it's kind of lame, but I don't have my new dolls yet to open, so I did a box opening of my Leeke stuff. It's my first order of stuff through the original company so I was excited.

The box was a little beat up. ^_^" There was also a little hole on the bottom.

There is a bunch of official paperwork stuff on top.

Stuff inside! Lots of bubblewrapped things.

It's nice they gave me a certificate even though I only bought a few things. :3

I've heard of these. XD I might use this a little later and see how it is.

Super awesome packaging!!

Even though I measured them, they are bigger than I expected. They are excellent quality in person. I still haven't decided if I'm going to paint them, or just blush them a bit on the end and leave them mostly white.
Pretty shirt! Tried to get another picture of it unfurled but it didn't look so neat. The fabric is so soft, and it should be long enough so my big girl can wear it with leggings or something. Yay! Also, my first piece of big doll clothing.
Gorgeous wig! The color is beautiful in real life, lots of lighter pinks mixed in. It's also very soft. (As mentioned in my little note, a bit of the front got a little messed up, but it's not too bad.
You can see more of the beautiful color. I guess I should mention that it is LR-039_E in Peach Pink. Also, the pretty braid! My first intricate wig, and it is gorgeous.
The color is a bit washed out, but you can see the braid on the other side. It's soooo pretty. OAO"
Overall Leeke gets in A in like every category. Super quick shipping and beautiful items. :) I don't think the front of the wig that is pulled out of shape is their fault. The box kinda looks like someone played hackey sack with it. Anyway, very satisfied with my purchase. :D

Woohoo

I got a parcel notice, and apparently I've had my Leeke stuff sitting in my apartment's office since yesterday. Pretty disappointed because the tracking number never worked or it just never updated. But oh well, I'll have it tomorrow. This will be the first package I've ever gotten directly from a company so I'm pretty excited.

NotDoll Update! (...sort of XD)

My order "process" (I assume they mean status?) has changed from payment received to before shipping! I'm hoping it will only take a few days to get everything together. I don't think it should take any longer than the rest of the week since I didn't order a faceup or anything extra (well, besides the extra heads).

Also, I was browsing through the Dollstown website and I hate to say it but I like their body more than the NotDoll body. I guess I'll just have to see when she gets here. I don't know if the resin would be a match either since NotDoll has changed resin color to crystal rose white or whatever it's called. I'm guessing it's close to Dollstown's pale skin, but I don't know if the undertone is the right color. We shall see.

Leeke Still Not Updated

So on Friday morning Leeke showed that my order had shipped. It is now Monday afternoon where I live (and early morning Tuesday in Seoul) but the tracking number still hasn't updated. It says no results found. :( I know nothing updates over the weekend, but my tracking number has been in the system for at least 48 business hours. I guess I'm just paranoid. This isn't the first thing I've ordered directly from a company, but it will be the first items I receive directly from a company. (Still waiting on my NotDoll order, and I don't even wanna think about my Dollshe for the next few months.)

This is not the best hobby for impatient people. @w@

Cool Doll Videos

Just a thought: I don't know why it creeps people out to think of dolls coming alive. I would find it awesome.

The first one is a stop motion video:

The second one from what I understand in the comments, is a doll hooked up to some sort of electric armature. I don't know exactly, though.

Weekends Draaag On

My Leeke order hasn't updated on the EMS site and I was gonna gripe after a few days, but then my boyfriend politely pointed out that since it's the weekend nothing is gonna update. >_< So, still a waiting game.

Leeke Order Has Shipped!

Woohoo! Just decided to check my orders on everything since I obsessively do it several times a day, and my wig/shirt/horns from Leekeworld are on their way! Now if only I could understand Korean and figure out their online tracking stuff.

edit: Thought I would add that I just googled "ems tracking" and I figured it out. XD It says tracking number not found but I found some responses on DoA that says it just takes a little while for everything to get in the system.

I ordered/my payment was confirmed on March 2nd, so I only had to wait 7 business days which is awesome considering the horns said it would take like 20 days or something to make them. Yay short wait! Now my lady won't be bald and naked when she arrives! Come on Notdoll. :)

Working Business Day 10

It feels like forever, but I have a little chunk out of the way for waiting on my NotDoll girls. I was so convinced I would keep the Ligaya head, but I'm not so sure now. I guess I'll see who I like best when their wig arrives, too.

Also, the puppy I have been fostering is going to his new mama today! It's sad, but he will have a proper playmate and the room he needs. As a bonus we work at the same place, so I still get to see him grow up. :)

Herp Derp

So I was wondering why my Leekeworld order hasn't shipped, and it's because I don't read descriptions. I just throw stuff into my cart and pay, which is of course my own fault. XD I guess since the little horns are resin, they are not made until you order them like the dolls. For the description it says:

"Incubus Horn" will be shipped after 20~30 working days from the day you get confirmed your payment.

And here I was thinking that I would finally get something in the mail. Opening anything helps with the wait. But due to my rushing, I still have a while to wait just on a wig and a few things for my big girl. Hopefully her hair arrives before she does. I do not want a cranky lady running around demanding an explanation for her baldness. XD

All Quiet on the Dolly Front - Updates

#1 Dollshe - Still waiting. Some people have been waiting over a year, so I should be patient, but wow it's hard. My order for him was on November 28th, so I've done a bit of waiting. Also, I completely changed my character for him. Instead of Isidore, the reclusive jack of all trades that lives in the woods that Felicity goes to see, he is now going to be a samurai. How that is going to fit with her story, I do not know. XD The power of imagination. Anyway, so Dollshe confirmed the change from orientalskin Bernard to freshskin Saint.

#2 Notdoll Lab - I've barely been waiting, but again waiting is hard. I just ordered their awesome deal with the body and three heads on February 22nd, but after asking a few people they ship in about a month.

#3 Leekeworld - I took advantage of their free shipping for orders of $50 so I got my big girl (who still has no name) a long pink wig, a gray shirt, and itsy bitsy horns. I have no idea what her character will be like. XD Last I checked the order status went from "payment pending" to "prepare for shipping" or something to that effect. I tried to check again but I think their site got overloaded from so many people, so I'll check later. Perhaps getting something, anything, in the mail will help tide me over.

I'm beginning to think there should be something along the lines of dolly rehab. XD
